Graham County Electric Co-op (GCEC) and Graham County Utilities (GCU) provide a $500 scholarship to each of the local high schools; Ft. Thomas, Mt. Graham, Pima, Safford, Thatcher, and Willcox.  If you are a senior high school student living within GCEC/GCU’s service territories, purchasing electricity, gas or water you are eligible to apply.  If you have a financial need, have applied yourself in the classroom, and have a strong desire to continue your education, please contact your high school counselor department for more information. 

For 2018 GCEC and GCU a total of $3,000 in scholarships to six local high schools. The recipients of those scholarships were: Sydney Fite, Safford High School; Bryanah Cervantez, Thatcher High School; Brynn Pritchard, Pima High School; Austin Montano & Kasaih Montano, Mt. Graham High School; Brittany Carrizoza and Devon Cobb, Ft. Thomas High School; Madison Michaels, Willcox High School.
