As part of our commitment to safe, reliable service, GCEC works to prevent trees and other vegetation from growing into our equipment. Vegetation that makes contact with electrical equipment can cause power outages and present a safety hazard for the public. Tree trimming is an importance process of line maintenance. A limb can grow around a power line, which also causes line loss. This work will be done using methods recommended by certified arborists. GCEC has contracted with Asplundh Tree Expert Company to perform tree trimming work in the Bylas area beginning January 14th.
